You want to know what's scary? When you're sitting alone in a huge
building, ostensibly working, when you notice that one of the
lines of the multi-line phone on your desk is suddenly and inexplicably
in use. Who's here? What's happening? Have one of the contractors gone
round the bend? Is a CLEC employee downstairs with a rifle, having had
just about enough of the Telecommunications Act of 1996? Is one of my
coworkers disgruntled that I'll be leaving and they've decided to make
it so I'll never leave?=20
